“Sport is a way of making exercise
an enjoyable and social event.”
The talents of the blooming and budding kids are to
be identified and nurtured at their early age. The sangthan has taken an
impressive step, a leap to reach excellence by conducting cluster level mini
sports meet wherein a number of proving budding sports persons were
identified and encouraged.
Mysore
cluster conducted Mini sports meet which includes two Vidyalayas namely
K.V.Mysore and K.V.Koddagu was conducted on 23 rd January 2010 under
leadership of Mr. P.C.Raju Principal, K.V.Mysore in which 120 students from
both vidyalayas participated .
Function started at 11 o’clock with an invocation
song presented by students of K.V.Mysore. The esteemed Chief Guest Mr.
M.A.Bopanna International Hockey player who has participated in many Hockey
tournaments at both National and International level, hoisted the flag and
received the salute which was followed by March Past by Participants of both
Vidyalayas .
He
declared the sports meet open. Subsequently, track events—

were conducted between 11:30a.m to 1P.m under the supervision of Mr. Gopal
Krishna PET, K.V.Mysore and Judged by the teachers of the both Vidyalayas.
The gathering dispersed for the lunch between
1P.M to 2:15 P.M. Afternoon session started by 2:15P.M with Kho-Kho match
for Group E boys followed by Kho-Kho match for Group E girls.
Valedictory function started at 3: 15 P.M with the speech by cluster
in-charge Principal Mr. P.C.Raju. All the winners were awarded with
certificates and prizes and the other participants were appreciated with
participation certificates.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and refreshments
served to all the participants.
Rose is a flower that fades in an hour but the talent of the children Will
grow like towers through these mini sports meet.
It
was wonderful to see our Tiny Tots perform so beautifully and also it was an
occasion for all the small children to mingle together, get acquaint to the
new environment and work with team spirit to have sound mind in sound body.

REPORT ON GRANDPARENTS
DAY
Grandparents
hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever so this
day’s celebrations has captured our heart and is still lingering in our hearts.
The Primary section of KV Mysore Celebrated the Grand Parents Day
09-09-2009 in the school premises. The grand parents were welcomed with
flowers by students. The programme commenced at 09-00 AM with the invocation
song followed by the welcome address by the Head Mistress Mrs Anees
Fathima, who not only welcomed the chief Guest and gathering but also spoke on
the importance of the day.
The cultural events then followed which included group dance , action song ,
speech, poem recitation (English & Hindi) , skit and interview with the grand
parents by primary students bringing out the importance of the day.
The chief guest Sri B L Srinivasa Rao , Rtd PGT , KVS in his address
reminded grand children and grand parents of their roles. He also spoke about
the magic number 9 and the tables of 9.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and refreshments served to all
the grand parents.
Independence Day
The
school celebrated 63rd Independence Day this year. The chief guest ,Dr A S Bawa
addressed the students , inspiring them towards the building of the
nation. The children presented an impressive cultural programme.
Friendship Day
Friendship Day ( 02-08-09) was celebrated by the primary section on 03-08-09
during Assembly as a special item. The importance of the day in the Indian
Context was also enlisted. Friendship bands were tied to spread the value of
friendship.

Bhandan (05-08-09) was observed by the Primary Section on 04-08-09 during
Assembly. The importance of the day was well enacted. Rakhi was also tied and
the brothers pledged to protect their sisters.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Our
Vidyalaya conducted the investiture ceremony on 24 June 2009 Ms
Anjana V Rao of Class XII B and Master Robin Prasad of XII A were appointed
Girls School caption and Boys School caption respectively for the academic
year 2009-10 . Ms Sanjana Goagate and Tama Bhatt both of class XI
were made school vice captions. Our new sports captions are Maithri Of
class XI B and Suvinay , of class XI A. Various other deserving students were
appointed House leaders and class monitors by their house masters and class
teachers respectively. The students all pledged to perform the duties entrusted
to the best of their abilities and bring laurels to the school. The vidyalaya
wishes the students all the very best!
ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 2009

Mysore Celebrated its 16th Annual Day on 22-04-09 at Kalamandir. Assistant
Commissioner Sri S Vijayakumar was the Chief Guest of the function. and he was
Grandly Felicitated in the same. Sri A S Bawa (Director DFRL) presided over the
meeting. The Principal P C Raju Presented the Annual Report and S M
Saleem (Director Ziet) spoke in the function. Outstanding students in different
fields were honored. This was followed by cultural programmes. The
function came to an end at 09:00 PM
REPORT
ABOUT INSERVICE-COURSE
FOR PRT’S FROM 19.05.09-30.05.09
At the outset we are extremely thankful to
KVS for organizing such a wonderful in-service course in K.V.Mysore so that all
the primary teachers can work towards a common goal and nurture the tiny tots
to excel in all fields and be completely fit for higher education. The course
was so vivid, enlightening and spectacular and it catered to
All the requirements put up by the participants.
It covered all the areas of teaching learning Process.
In a nut shell the course had various activities in all the fields like ---
* spoken English: --- Dumb charades, Pick and
speak, Narrations,
Miming,
Elocutions, story building, phonetics etc.
* Yoga :---- Pranayama, Surya Namaskaram and
other Asanas were
taught and practiced every
day in the morning.
* Guest lectures were arranged which made the
participants more thoughtful
and inquisitive to learn and
implement in their day-to-day activities.

Our Director and resource-persons pervaded into all areas like
CMP,
Activity Based learning, Preparation and use
of TLM, School Readiness
Programme, Identifying ELO’s, Evaluation
Techniques and grading systems, Scouts and guides movement, Leadership
Qualities, Disciplinary Proceedings etc.
* Demonstration lessons: - Activity Based Demo
lessons were given by all the participants using TLM and TAL group-wise and
Subject-wise.
* CAL and TAL : --- All the participants
prepared a TAL lessons pertaining to the group subject-wise. Project-Based
Learning was taught through Oracle Think Quest.
* First-Aid : --- Importance of First-Aid was
highlighted and some small Demo was given on how to conduct the first-Aid in
different situations.
* Trip :- Trip to Madikeri and Local Trip was
well organized.
